Pioneers Win Presidents Cup!

The Ladner Pioneers are the 2022 National Senior B Lacrosse Champions after defeating the Akwesasne Bucks 8-6 in the Presidents Cup final in Edmonton Saturday, September 3rd.

This ends an 18 year drought for BC teams, as the last time the cup was in our hands was 2004 when Ladner won it all. The Pioneers had an amazing 2022 campaign, going undefeated in the regular season and playoffs, and finishing the national tournament with a record of 6-1-1.

Ryan Benesch, Tyler Pace and Logan Schuss each tallied twice, with Pace notching the game winner 3:22 into the final frame. Eric Penney went the distance between the pipes.
