The Ladner Pioneers remained perfect at the national championships after a 17-9 win over the Kahnawake Mohawks (QSLL) Monday. The reigning champs led 4-3 after one period and 13-6 after two en route to their second win.
Ryan Benesch had a monster outing with 3 goals and 8 assists, with Austin Shanks (3G,4A) and Tyler Pace (2G,5A) next in line. James Rahe notched 4 goals, Zach Herreweyers a pair, with Nathan Henare, Owen Barker and Dylan Lacroix picking up singles. Christian Del Bianco turned aside 28 of 37 shots for his second victory.
Next up for the Pioneers at the 2023 Presidents Cup are the Six Nations Rivermen (OSL) Tuesday.
