The Royal City Capitals moved into fourth place in league standings after defeating the rival Victoria Wolves 14-12 Saturday June 17th at Queen's Park Arena.  The Capitals led 6-5 and 10-7 after 20 and 40 minutes, respectively, en route to their fifth win of the campaign.  Nate Schmidt had a monster outing, scoring six goals (including two shorthanded) and picking up two assists to lead the Caps, while Neil Tyacke turned aside 27 of 39 shots between the pipes.  Overall, the Capitals were held scoreless while on the powerplay, but managed four shorthanded tallies.

Out next game is Thursday June 22nd when we visit the first place Ladner Pioneers.  Our next home game is Saturday June 24th when we host the Nanaimo Timbermen at Queen's Park Arena.  Face-off at 3:30pm.
